Do I have to own a classic car to join?
Owning a vehicle is optional! The Club is open to students, and others that may not have a "special" vehicle! 

The club is open to everyone interested in automotive interests and mechanical things!  We are oriented to being a social club of people that have an interest in all kinds of vehicles, bikes, tractors, classic cars, modern sports cars, 4-wheelers and regular cars and anything that has wheels and is fun! We love them all!

If you are a gearhead at heart and have any interests in socializing with like people in the community, this is the place! 
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE IN EACH CLUB MEMBER LEVEL?
Ellijay Mountain Cruisers Inc (EMC) offers Three levels of membership for car enthusiasts and one sponsor membership for businesses and individuals that want to support EMC and GHS Auto-Tech.

Each of the different levels of membership are tailored to meet the different needs of our Members! 

Student Member - FREE

The Student Membership is for Students in the community that might not own a specialty vehicle or normally participate in club events, but want to keep informed about local events and support the club and GHS Auto Tech.  

This membership is for supporters of the club with an interest in the local automotive world.

Student Members will receive club emails about meetings, events and news and other automotive interest topics. This will allow members to keep abreast of club activities and events.

Student members may not hold a board position or be a committee manager in the club.  But, Student members may participate in committee activities and member social activities.

Each Student member will be allowed to register on our club web site and receive a Web Site member identification and Password and Members Only access to the club web site.

Student Members will serve as the club link into the GHS Auto Tech and other school activities. 

Associate Member -FREE

The Associate Membership is for individual car enthusiasts in the community that might not own a specialty vehicle or normally participate in club events, but want to keep informed about local events and support the club and GHS Auto Tech. 

This membership is for supporters of the club, points of contact, vendors representatives and others with an interest in the local automotive world and others with association to the club and its members.


Associate Members will receive club emails about meetings, events and news and other automotive interest topics. This will allow Associate members to keep abreast of club activities and events.


Associate members may not hold a board position or be a committee manager in the club.  
Associate members may participate in committee activities and member social activities.

Each Associate member will be allowed to register on our club web site and receive a Web Site member identification and Password and Members Only access to the club web site.

REGULAR MEMBERS $25 Per Year

 

REGULAR Members are members that actively participate in the club, and may (optionally) serve on the boards and committees and vote for offices and approve funding and resources related to club business. REGULAR Members may help operate and manage the club.

 

REGULAR Members will receive club emails about local club meetings, events and club news and other automotive interest topics.

REGULAR members will have voting rights (1 vote per Primary Member) and they or family members may hold a board position or a committee head position in the club. REGULAR Members and their family members may serve as the core of the business management of the club and be responsible for club resources, funding and managing club business. 


REGULAR Members and their family members may participate in committee activities and member social activities and will be given Member discounts for fee events.  

Each Member and their family members receive a Web Site member identification and Password and Members Only access to the club web site

 

REGULAR Members are members that usually own vehicles and participate in club events and social activities. These are the core members of our club automotive related events but DO NOT have to be actively involved in the management of club business.




Sponsor member -
$50 Per Year (Cash donation or Credits for other contributions)

 

Corporate and other business entity’s that wish to sponsor and support the Club will be given Sponsor Memberships and are also regular members that participate in club events and social activities and will receive club emails about meeting events and club news and other automotive interest topics.

Sponsor Members will NOT have voting rights or may NOT hold a board position and may NOT be a committee head.

Sponsor Members may participate in committee activities and member social activities and will be given Sponsor Member discounts for fee events.  Sponsor members may have up to 2 designated primary members named under one sponsor membership. Each primary member may have one secondary members and will have the same benefits as the Sponsor member.

Each Sponsor Member (up to 4) will receive Web Site member identification and Password and Members only access to the club web site.

Each Sponsor member and representative will receive discounts for events and other club activities.

WHAT DOES IT COST TO JOIN THE CLUB?
There are different individual membership levels for our club and a corporate sponsor membership. 

Membership Levels:

  • Student Members  = FREE
  • Associate Members  =                    FREE
  • REGULAR Member $25 Per Year
  • Corporate Sponsor Member=  $50 Per Year

 

Do I have to participate in the operations of the club?
Not everyone has to be involved in running the club.
 

ONLY REGULAR MEMBERS are voting members and MAY choose to occupy a board position or Committee Head position: 

Regular Members may conduct the business and operation of the club. 

Associates and Sponsor level members may volunteer to participate in committees and support the club, but you don't have to be involved in any way in the actual administration and operation of the club! 
What kind of club meeting do we have?
Regular monthly club meetings are usually social meetings and are at local location and usually a cruise-in to a restaurant or other destination locations specified in the Event calendar.

Please cruise-in to the meeting location, weather permitting, please bring your cars! 

Regular meetings are generally a Cruise-in with socializing and some gearhead discussions and sometimes a short club business presentation.

Members may often have separate Business meetings to manage the club, and the results and news from those business meetings will be presented at the regular club dinner meeting. Business meeting are for managing the club and interested members will attend, and make club management decisions.  Any member  is welcome to attend and may support the club as committee members!
